Cookie & Local Storage Policy
Effective Date: August 29, 2026 • Explains browser storage and cookie use
1. What Are Cookies and Local Storage?
Cookies and web storage (such as HTML5 localStorage and sessionStorage) are small data files placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a web application. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and remember user preferences.
2. How Photocopy Wale Uses Local Storage
PhotocopyWale uses browser storage for product functionality and preferences. Optional third-party connections, if you choose to use them, can create their own network requests or storage according to the third party’s terms and privacy practices.
The application uses browser storage for functional purposes such as:
- UI Theme & Viewport Settings: Remembering whether you prefer single-photo mode or full A4 photo sheet layout during your active editing session.
- Last Used Photo Preset: Remembering your last selected size preset (for example, a passport-photo size or custom dimensions) so you do not have to re-select it upon reload.
- Editing session data: The editor can keep active session or recovery information in browser storage so your work can survive ordinary navigation or a reload. You can clear the saved session from the editor or through your browser’s site-data controls.
3. Managing and Clearing Your Local Storage
You have full control over data stored on your device. You can clear your browser cookies and site storage at any time via your browser settings (e.g., in Chrome: Settings > Privacy & Security > Clear Browsing Data > Cookies and other site data).
